Rev’d Cara Smart
Cara is our Assistant Curate. She is part-time and joined the parish in July 2020 shortly before her ordination. Cara loves parish ministry and enjoys taking services in all 3 churches, and is due to finish her curacy by June 2025.


Rev’d Judi Hattaway
Judi is a retired hospital chaplain with PTO having worked in both a high secure and an acute hospital setting. She joined the St Paul’s team 10 years ago.
She has a private counselling practice working from home.
Judi is widowed with adult children, and four grandchildren, two of whom have additional needs.
Rev’d Jane Kraft
Jane retired in 2015 from full time Ministry in the St Alban’s Diocese and moved to Owlsmoor. In 2016 she was invited to celebrate and preach in the benefice regularly on the third Sunday of each month and to attend the weekly clergy staff meeting. She was also invited to help Fr. Richard in his role as Area Dean by taking on the role of Associate Area Dean. In addition she is committed to ministering regularly on the first and fifth Sundays at St. Michael’s Sandhurst.


Rev’d Soba Sinnathamby
Methodist Minister at Woosehill until September 2025 when he retires at the same time as a reorganisation of the Methodist Circuit. Under the alternating ministry model currently employed, he may be replaced with an Anglican priest.
Bertie the Churchmouse
Bon viveur and cheese connoisseur. Bertie has been instrumental in keeping the Parish connected for the last few years. During Covid he sent out a daily newsletter keeping spirits up, sharing news and thoughts and providing the much-needed link within the Parish. The newsletters continue to go out every week, when Bertie usually elicits help from one of the clergy team to add additional information

St Paul’s PCC
St Paul’s PCC meets 7 times a year. It also has a number of committees. There are two Churchwardens for St Pauls and we also have two Pro-wardens for St Nicholas.

A retired solicitor and churchwarden of St Paul’s since 2014, David is married with two sons and a grandson. He is a member of the church choir and is a cricket fanatic.

Parish Rooms Trust
The Parish Rooms Trust (PRT), of which all members of the PCC are members, supports the self-financed running of the Parish Rooms. The PRT use the profits from the Parish Rooms to provide financial assistance for children and young people in education in the Parish.
Woosehill Church Council
Set up originally under the terms of an agreement between the parish of St Catherine Bearwood and Rose Street Methodist Church Wokingham and sponsored by Churches Together in Berkshire, Woosehill Community Church is an Anglican/Methodist Single Congregation Local Ecumenical Partnership. Following a reorganisation of parish boundaries, Woosehill Community Church now sits within the Anglican parish of St Paul’s, Wokingham and is a conventional district within the parish. It is also part of the Methodist Church Berkshire Surrey Borders Circuit. Its multi-purpose Church building, which was built with Anglican and Methodist finance and congregational fundraising, is classed as a Methodist building, but with a formal sharing agreement in place between the two denominations.
The governing body of the Church is the Woosehill Church Council (WCC). Members are either ex-officio or elected at the Church Annual General Meeting in accordance with the Church Representational Rules.
The WCC meet five times a year. Two of the stewards on the WCC are also appointed as the Anglican Churchwardens
