St Paul’s Choir

The Choir of St Paul’s sing at Mass every Sunday morning, at Evensong twice a month and at a range of special services throughout the year. The Advent and Lenten services of Lessons and Music are particularly moving and popular. They have also sung Evensong at various cathedrals and abbeys, including Southwark, Chichester and Bath and perform the occasional concert. They are a welcoming, non-auditioning choir and new members are always welcome.

People in the choir have a range of different backgrounds and musical experiences. For some this is their first time singing in a choir- for others, this is something they have done all of their lives. The choir is united in the pleasure they find in singing together, in inspiring the congregation to come close to God and in singing praise to God.

Choir practice is on a Wednesday night. If you’d like to know more, please contact the Parish Office.

  • Hello
I sometimes practice on the piano at St Pauls. I am looking for work as an accompanist and rehearsal pianist, and was wondering if I could work for St Paul’s Choir? I have experience working for choral societies. I also studied piano at the Royal Northern College of Music.

    Many thanks
