Evensong in Winchester

The choir and congrgation took a trip to Winchester on Monday 16th February and after lunch and a brief wander around the town, the choir went tothe Cathedral to prepare for Evensong there at 5:30. By 5pm most of the congregation had finished the browsing and visits to cafés etc. and were taking there places ready for the service.

The music for the service was sublime with many of the congregation saying afterwards how beautiful and uplifting the singing had been.

The choir sang psalm 84, the Smith responses and the anthem was ‘Set me as a Seal on your heart’ by René Clausen.
