General Election Special

A short email to send you this link

General Election resources – Diocese of Oxford (anglican.org)

We are urged by our Diocesan Bishop to play our part in the General Election. We are urged to pray for the country and the candidates and to take part in the election. None of this is meant to tell us who we should vote for, but the call is clearly to vote as a person of faith and to pray for the flourishing of the nation.

One of the links in the page above takes you to a booklet which has 21 days of prayer from the 14th of June, which we are invited to join in with. Please do use it.

And if you are writing intercessions can you please make sure that we include prayers for the direction and character of the nation as we go to the polls?

Thanks so much- do click on the page and see what resources and ideas are there, both for yourself and for those you live with and among.

Richard
