#433: a very fitting number for the Euros

Hello again- Bertie here. I have been very alarmed by the amount of food which is being wasted in Germany in the Euros- people breaking spaghetti along with Italian hearts, and pulling apart baguettes and French souls. It is a travesty and a trauma and I am terrified at where it might lead- people rolling my cheese supply down the hill from Church onto the railway line or fracturing my crackers in front of me to make some cheap political point. I have decided that I will sleep in my cheese cellar for the next few weeks, until this sham is over. Which will also save me from watching any more of the TV debates before the election, which is a happy coincidence. The sanctity of my cheese store is absolute. Who would I talk to if I did not have my cheeses? And who would understand me? And who would ensure that my waistcoat was delicately stretched? It does not bear thinking about. Here is the news.
