Hello, Bertie here, your Sporting Reporter- and I can exclusively reveal that Wycombe are also applying to be in the new European Super League on the grounds that they are just as big a club as Tottenham Hotspur. And at least they have a manager. Meanwhile, in other news…

Coming this week

Tonight at 8pm sees the conversation around whether we have the right values and priorities as we reopen things at St Paul’s and open ourselves up to new ideas and possibilities and the guidance of God. If you’re not coming to the meeting, why not watch Panorama as they explore racism in the CofE at 8.15pm? It promises to be an important and challenging and essential watch, demanding our engagement and our improvement as a Church.

The 8am BCP Mass starts back at St Paul’s on Sunday the 25th of April. It lasts about 40 minutes and you’re welcome to just turn up. The service will happen on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month only for the time being.

Morning Prayer starts back at 9am on Tues and Fri each week in Church from Tuesday the 27th of April- do please come along, with the app on your phone and a face mask. We will continue to do MP on Mon and Thurs on Zoom at 8.30am for the foreseeable future.

Deanery Compline is carrying on, on a Wednesday evening at 8.30pm. It is a beautiful and stilling 20 minute service, and really easy to join in with:

The four April Lucky Numbers winning numbers were selected on 17th April by Meg Corfe’s random number generator.

The promoters trust that all our subscribers remain safe, well and cheerful in the unusual circumstances imposed on us at present. The Draw is a simple way of raising funds for repairs and renewals to the church building. One share (number) costs £24 per year and the draw takes place monthly (either at St Nicholas’s or St Paul’s) for prizes of £50, £25, £15 and £10. All remaining funds go to the Restoration Fund.
