Festival for Peace

A successful afternoon for our Festival for Peace. The choir were joined by many people both from St Pauls and from other churches and groups, swelling their numbers to more than 40. The picnic after the rehearsal saw everyone trying to grab a bit of shade, but the picnickers were kept entertained by the younger members of the choir. Evensong included a sermon from the Revd Liz Jackson, Associate Archdeacon for Berkshire, The anthem ‘Peace’ by Paul Mealor, and the “Prayer for Ukraine”, by Mykola Lysenko, sung in Ukrainian.
