MU Visit to Swallowfield

The Mothers’ Union had a very interesting visit to Swallowfield Church at the beginning of August.  Their Churchwarden gave us a tour and an extremely comprehensive talk on the history of the church, including some amusing anecdotes regarding various personalities connected to the church in the past.  The afternoon concluded with an excellent tea at Riseley Tea Rooms and a quick sprint to our cars before the storm broke.  A very enjoyable outing!
