St Paul’s go to St Paul’s
Our Church choir travelled to St Paul’s Cathedral in London to sing Evensong on Friday 11th April. There was much excitement and a little trepidation as they left the coach (conveniently parked right beside the cathedral!)
A rehearsal in the choir practice room helped to quell any anxieties.
and a rehearsal for processing in, helped to familiarise them with the exceptionally grand setting
Everyone, including the unexpectedly large congregation, which included a large contingent from here, enjoyed the service. The choir really excelled when they sang the Salvator Mundi by Tallis with the sound echoing around the dome.
